VCN Church Celebrates Grand Re-Opening After Arson Fire

It’s exciting to share things that are happening within our VCN churches.  This week, we are thrilled to share that after 3 1/2 years since the fire that destroyed their church, Central International Fellowship is celebrating their Grand-Reopening!

Central International Fellowship has been a vital part of the Sacramento community and our association for over 48 years. As a unique church with three main language groups, it offers services in English, Spanish, and lu-Mien. In the early morning of January 20, 2020, an arsonist set fire to the church, destroying the main sanctuary and building offices.

After 3 1/2 years of rebuilding through many delays, including the COVID-19 pandemic, the church joyfully celebrated its grand re-opening on August 26, 2023. The local TV stations in Sacramento, CA, covered the event.
Pastor Don Patterson has faithfully served at this church for over 41 years and has advanced the kingdom of God in Sacramento and beyond.  We celebrate alongside you and your church family as you persevered and faithfully worked hard to see the church rebuilt amid difficulties.  Praise God!
