Standing Together in Prayer

Dear VCN Family,

We are deeply grieved by the tragic school and church shooting in Minneapolis. Violence of this kind, especially against children, is both horrific and heartbreaking. In moments like these, it is natural to ask why. Yet even when answers do not come, we know where to turn: to prayer, to faith, and to the God who brings peace in the midst of sorrow.

God’s Word reminds us, “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit” (Psalm 34:18). Let us cling to this truth as we lift up those impacted.

I want to encourage our network to pray faithfully during this time. Here are three ways to be praying right now:

1. For the families and loved ones impacted that God’s comfort and presence would be near.
2. For local churches and pastors that they would be strong and a source of hope and healing.
3. For community and national leaders that they would lead with wisdom and seek the Lord’s guidance.
