Clayton Baptist exists to exalt the name of Jesus Christ through clear and relevant Bible teaching, sharing His Gospel with our community, and making fully devoted followers of Christ for the next generation. We strive to love and worship Him by loving the people the Holy Spirit leads into our care. Our goal is for all individuals to come to know and follow Christ and to discover His will for their lives.

Objective:
The youth pastor will bring vision and enthusiasm to the church’s teen ministry, reflecting its vision, mission, and core values. The youth pastor must have a relationship with Jesus as Savior and Lord that is evident in their character, whether on or off the job. The youth pastor must be a team leader who can work compassionately with others, guiding them to succeed in their ministry to teens and encouraging them in their walk with Jesus.
This position is a salaried role requiring at least 30 hours per week. Attendance at Sunday morning worship services is expected.
Experience and Knowledge Required:
The Youth Pastor will have the gifting and heart of a shepherd and will have been part of an evangelical community of believers for at least 5 years. A Bachelor’s degree in youth ministry from an accredited Christian university is preferred. A solid understanding of Biblical Theology from a conservative evangelical perspective is required.
