What:  One-on-One with Secretary of VA

Why: I was truly humbled and honored to have a one-on-one meeting with Mr. Secretary Collins to discuss the work of pastoral care at the VA hospital in Columbus, OH.   We shared a meaningful conversation about our military careers and importance of serving our Veterans well.  He promised to advocate for us to get a second chaplain.  This would greatly strengthen our ability to care for those who’ve served.  Having a military chaplain as the secretary of the VA does make a difference.
