Job Opening: PASTOR

Description: The pastor is responsible for the oversight of the spiritual health and safety of the congregation, leading Sunday Morning Worship Services, and administring the ordinances of baptism and the Lord’s Supper. The pastor should set the example and lead the way in worshipping the Lord, studying God’s Word, praying with and for others, sharing the Gospel with the unsaved, visitation, counsoling the hurting, discipling believers, and preaching and teaching.

Responsibilities: The pastor will conduct the services of the Church, including worship, prayer, marriages, funerals, baptisms, and communion. He will be the primary preacher for the Church.

Qualifications:
– The pastor must meet all the qualifications of elder, listed in the Church Constitution (see link below).
– The pastor shall have completed extensive Biblical training through an organization which is in doctrinal agreement with the Church.
– The pastor must be able to evidence a call to the Pastorate and to the Church in particular.
– The pastor must be in harmony with and be able to sign a doctrinal statement of the Church, her covenant, and constitution, without reservation.
– The pastor will be ordained or will actively seek ordination once called.
